OneOklahoma Cyberinfrastructure Initiative
The OneOklahoma Cyberinfrastructure Initiative (OneOCII) delivers supercomputing power, network reliability, robustness, availability and bandwidth to Oklahoma’s researchers. OneOCII provides researchers at colleges and universities statewide greater data-intensive research with better speed, efficiency and reliability. OneOCII recently made a $1.17 million cyber connectivity upgrade funded by a National Science Foundation grant. These upgrades to the Oklahoma Optical Initiative benefits the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma State University, OneNet (Oklahoma’s education, research and government network), the University of Tulsa, Langston University, the Samuel Roberts Noble Foundation and a variety of other institutions across the state.
Goals of OneOCII are to:

Reach institutions outside the mainstream of advanced computing

Serve every higher education institution in Oklahoma that has relevant curricula

Educate Oklahomans about advanced computing

Attract underrepresented populations and institution types into advanced computing.

OneNet’s mission is to advance technology across Oklahoma. OneNet enhances economic growth by meeting the mission-critical needs of our state’s education, research, healthcare and public service communities.
OneNet is committed to serving as the leading Internet and network service provider for the state of Oklahoma. We strive to fulfill a critical role within the success of our state by enabling citizens to cross state boundaries and reach around the world. We accomplish this vision by keeping pace with ever-changing technological advancements and by being the first to deploy those technologies across our state. We envision our customers’ needs even before they do and foster early adoption of advanced networking technologies. By providing leading-edge innovation, we empower our customers to create their own paths to success and improve their lives and the lives of those they serve.

XSEDE
XSEDE is a single virtual system that scientists can use to interactively share computing resources, data and expertise. People around the world use these resources and services — things like supercomputers, collections of data and new tools — to improve our planet.
OSU HPCC is a member of both the XSEDE Federation and the Service Provider (SP) Forum. OSU HPCC’s participation with XSEDE gives Oklahoma State University researchers increased access to XSEDE infrastructure, associated expertise and educational programs. Similarly, Oklahoma State University can provide the XSEDE community easy access to information about our resources as part of a national ecosystem to facilitate computational science. This partnership helps bridge the gap between regional resources and helps formalize the connection between our local campus resources and XSEDE resources. We believe that continuous building of larger communities of resources and facilitators helps to further research collaboration and technologies knowledge on a larger scale than single entities or localized partnerships can accomplish on their own.
