OSU HPCC/Library to host first Software Carpentry workshop

A collaboration between the OSU HPCC and OSU Library is bringing the first OSU-hosted Software Carpentry workshop to the OSU-Stillwater campus March 13-14, 2016.

Software Carpentry's mission is to help scientists and engineers get more research done in less time and with less pain by teaching them basic lab skills for scientific computing. This hands-on workshop will cover basic concepts and tools, including program design, version control, data management, and task automation. Participants will be encouraged to help one another and to apply what they have learned to their own research problems.

Register and learn more at the OSU Software Carpentry workshop webpage.

Several OSU HPCC and OSU Library staff members have undergone Software Carpentry training in order to be able to host their on workshops on campus.
