OSU HPCC Participates in the Annual Women in Science Conference

The annual Women in Science Conference took place this year at the Mabee Center in Tula, Oklahoma on October 17, 2017. 1,150 students and teachers from 450 schools across Oklahoma were in attendance.

OSU HPCC Director, Dana Brunson, served on a panel introducing students to life as a career data scientist. OSU HPCC also had a booth at the conference where they demonstrated a "baby" supercomputer made from Raspberry Pi computers. Students used an x-box controller to move a ball through a dynamic fluid simulation that changed in real-time, and learned how large-scale supercomputers work.
