Does your institution have a lot of researchers and educators who want to use advanced computing, but they need some help learning how?
The Advanced Cyberinfrastructure Research and Education Facilitator (ACI-REF) virtual residency workshop will teach individuals who are responsible for helping researchers with computational and data-intensive research how to be more effective at demonstrating how to use cyberinfrastructure resources.
The workshop will begin Sunday eveining with a welcome/introductory session that includes a pizza dinner for everyone. Then the workshop will run all day each day for the full week, with a break Wednesday afternoon, and will finish Saturday before lunch.
Workshop participants will be expected to give a brief presentation (5 minutes) on a project they intend to carry out at their home institution after the workshop ends, and after the workshop will be included on a biweekly conference call, a mailing list, and have the opportunity to participate in another summer workshop the following year.
Funding for transportation, lodging and meal costs could be available. You can use the contact form at the bottom of the registration page to ask for more details.
You can view the agenda for last year's workshop to have an idea of how this year's workshop will be structured.
*Remote participation is an available option. You can use the contact form at the bottom of the registration page to ask more details about this option.
